2026 CADILLAC LYRIQ VS. TESLA MODEL Y
Cadillac LYRIQ Comparison
Constantly changing gas prices and climate change concerns have made electric vehicles more popular than ever. The new Cadillac LYRIQ continues to prove that a fully electric SUV can be both fun to drive and luxurious. The Tesla Model Y is a worthy competitor with its generous range, but it can't match the LYRIQ's refined, tech-rich interior. At Advantage Cadillac in Hodgkins, IL, we proudly present the following comparison of these two EVs to help you decide for yourself which SUV to buy.
Cadillac LYRIQ vs. Tesla Model Y
Performance
You'll enjoy rapid acceleration for passing or merging onto highways with the new Cadillac LYRIQ. Its standard single-motor powertrain produces 365 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. This setup allows the LYRIQ to bolt from 0 to 60 MPH in just 5.7 seconds. A dual-motor powertrain in LYRIQ-V models generates 615 horsepower.
The Tesla Model Y's base powertrain only makes 300 horsepower. It takes 6.8 seconds to get from 0 to 60 MPH with this configuration. The Model Y's most powerful all-wheel drive powertrain option puts out 510 horsepower.
Technology
Having the right technology makes ordinary commutes and distant road trips more enjoyable. The new Cadillac LYRIQ comes standard with a 33-inch instrument panel and infotainment display. Along with vivid graphics and an easy-to-use interface, the system provides Google Built-In with a voice assistant and navigation along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.
The Tesla Model Y's standard infotainment display is just 15.4-inch inches long. The touchscreen controls nearly all of the Model Y's functions, so it can be time-consuming to scroll through the settings and tap the desired icon. Additionally, the system doesn't support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Interior and Exterior
Inside, the new Cadillac LYRIQ looks and feels luxurious. Synthetic leather upholstery and a panoramic glass roof are standard. Real metal inlays, delicate wood accents, ambient lighting, and genuine Nappa leather seats are available for an even more opulent atmosphere.
The Tesla Model Y has more of a minimalist vibe. While it also offers some premium flourishes, too much plastic on the center console hampers its lavishness.
